A particular service of thanksgiving was held to mark the 250th anniversary of a North Ayrshire church described as a “beacon of hope and repair” for the neighborhood.
Native dignitaries, representatives of youth and neighborhood teams and former ministers joined the congregation at Kilwinning Abbey Church on Sunday in what proved to be a memorable day.
The service was led by Deacon Isobel Beck DCS and Interim Moderator Rev James McNay.

Ms Beck, who has served as a deacon on the church since 2016, stated members of the congregation had arrange a “unbelievable show” to showcase the historical past of the church and there was nice fellowship by all as refreshments had been served.
