Ministers are delighted with the brand new paintings that carries a robust anti-apartheid message that has been placed on everlasting show at Gaurak railway station.
The Rev David Burt of Previous Gowrock and Ashton Parish Church and the Rev Terry Peterson of St John’s Parish Church attended the disclosing and mentioned they hoped the message of ‘nobody else, simply us’ would resonate with folks.
Pupils from Gowrock, Moorfoot, and St Ninian’s major colleges and St Columba and Clydeview secondary colleges labored on the mission, funded by Gowrock Colleges and Church buildings Collectively, a partnership which brings collectively clergy and head lecturers serving in Inverclyde, within the west of Scotland.
Engaging stained glass home windows have palms of various colours and sizes shut to one another.
It was designed by stained glass specialist artist Alec Galloway in collaboration with college students to ship a transparent message that “everyone seems to be welcome and everyone seems to be valued”.

Mr Burt, a chaplain at Gowrock Main College and Clydeview Academy, described the paintings as “completely beautiful”.
