I suppose buttons have their place on social media, blogs, podcasts and different types of communication I pray, although, that I can keep away from the temptation to take a look at totally different elements of my church as a spot the place I can decide if it meets my wants and will get my “like” affirmation.
-
- I pray that I do not consider my church’s music fashion with the like button. As a substitute, I pray that I can be grateful to those that give of themselves to offer our worship music every week.
- I pray I do not consider preaching in my church with like buttons. As a substitute of deciding whether or not the size is greatest for me and expressing it precisely as I like, I pray that I’ll be glad about a pastor who faithfully prepares and preaches a message every week.
- I pray that I can’t consider the pastoral care of my church with the like button. As a substitute, I pray that I’ll absolutely understand that we don’t pay our employees to do all ministry work; Their main job is to equip us for ministry work.
- I pray that I do not consider my church’s order of worship with the like button. As a substitute, I pray that I’ll present gratitude that I’ve the liberty to worship in church and that I can’t be so imply as to insist on the command to worship the way in which I select.
- I pray I can’t decide our church budgets and bills with a like button. As a substitute, I pray that I can be grateful for individuals who give and for a church that seeks to be the very best steward of these presents.
- I pray I do not consider my church volunteers with the like button. As a substitute, I pray I’ll have a grateful coronary heart that they provide freely with out pay and most of them with out recognition.

My church shouldn’t be a social media channel constructed on likes and up-down votes. My church is constructed on the sacrifice and work of Christ. He labored laborious for me. He prayed for me. He died for me. All I can do is love his bride, the Church, as he loves her. All I can do is search unity and be a supply of unity inside the church.
So I, a prisoner to serve the Lord, beg you to stay a life worthy of your calling, for you’ve got been referred to as by God. At all times be humble and humble. Be affected person with each other, making allowances for one another’s faults due to your love. Make each effort to be united in spirit, bind yourselves collectively in peace. For there may be one physique and one spirit, as you’ve got been referred to as to a wonderful hope for the long run (Ephesians 4:1-4, NLT).
